We are continuing our very successful Fireside Chat series. Many thanks to those who supported our last Chat with Dilhan Pillay of Temasek Group. I think we had a very wide-ranging and useful discussion.

We are pleased to announce that Professor Low Teck Seng, CEO of the National Research Foundation (NRF) and formerly the MD of A*STAR, will be our next Fireside Chatter. Prof Low was in the news with the announcement of the NRF $14 billion research budget for science and research, and I hope he will share how this fund has been conceived and allocated.

In order to continue to have frank and candid discussions for the Society’s Fireside Chats, the Committee is imposing a limit on the number of persons to 26 persons (Members and Guests).

Members signing up early will pay a token $25, with at most one guest per member at $40. This is non-refundable and will have to be paid even if there is non-attendance for any reason, since no-shows at the last minute still incur catering costs and deprive other Members of a highly-coveted space at these Fireside Chats.

Members who are unsure of their schedules and prefer to walk in will have to pay $40 at the door on a space available basis (availability of seats is indicated on the Peatix website above, which Members may check by clicking on the link above).
