Prof McKendrick has held a number of major administrative roles within the University – including Chair of the Law Board (since 2004) and Director of Undergraduate Studies in the Faculty of Law. He is a practising barrister and currently the Law Delegate for Oxford University Press. 3. Robert Mair, Master of Jesus College, CambridgeProf Robert Mair, Master of Jesus College, Cambridge, will be available to meet Cambridge alumni in Singapore at a Dinner Event to be held on Thur 5th April 2007 at the home of Stanley Lai, Vice-President For Cambridge of this society and an alumnus of Jesus College. Prof Mair is Professor of Geotechnical Engineering and Head of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Cambridge . He is also one of the founding Directors of the Geotechnical Consulting Group, an international consulting company with offices in London and Hong Kong. He has advised on numerous civil engineering projects worldwide, specializing in underground construction. He currently advises the Singapore Government on design and construction aspects of all their underground metro and road tunnels. He was elected a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering in 1992 and awarded the Gold Medal of the Institution of Civil Engineers in 2004. 4.
